Ellie Bassow Fajer
Ellie’s work with JIFA includes resource development and outreach to help Hillels and other Jewish institutions align their food choices with their Jewish values. She is pursuing a double major in Biology and Earth Systems at Stanford University, with a specific focus on how our food systems can be reimagined to best promote human and planetary health. She has worked as a DefaultVeg Ambassador at Stanford and with [email protected] to promote sustainability, inclusion, and healthfulness by shifting to a plant-based default in catering and dining. Through this work, she hopes to enact long-lasting institutional change in reducing the carbon emissions and environmental footprint of the food served at Stanford and beyond.
